Example of Zeno's paradox

Explanation of Zeno's paradox The above series is one solution to a scenario proposed by Zeno wherein he considered a man and a turtle to race and since turtle is slower, it was given a head start of say 100m. Man being faster then sprints and makes up that 100 m. But during this time , the turtle may have covered another 10 m. So the man again has to sprint 10 m to be with turtle. But again during this time the turtle may have covered another 1 m. So does that mean the turtle wins? Because that's not practical right? The man has to eventually take over the turtle and win the race..But Everytime he tries to overcome turtle..he has to cover certain more distance..and this process will be infinite right? The answer is we don't know..but eventually the man does take over the turtle and that's the truth. The above series is one such example wherein say the man has to initially cover 1 m and maybe during this time turtle covers 1/2 m and when man tries to cover these 1/...

Beauty of Maths-Part II [B.O.M-II]

Beauty of MATHEMATICS:Equations I am so fascinated by this topic that I think I am going to write maybe a series of post on the same. Last time I talked about the Fibonacci Series and Golden Ratio which you can find  here . Do read on it. Today I am just gonna talk about what is considered as one of the boring part of Mathematics(Hell bro!! Maths in entirety is itself so boring....Maybe I don't think so..) equations.    I will again try and bring in some sort of Inspiration in mathematics or equations per say. So let's start.   To start with I am going to introduce one with a simple trick which ... I guess it may even blow your mind!!  So here's some steps you need to do. You can use calculator or mentally also you can solve(I prefer mental ones). So follows these steps: Step 1. Think of two numbers from 1 to 10. Step 2. Add those numbers together. Step 3. Multiply that number by ...

The Beauty Of Mathemathics [B.O.M]

Hi everyone. Well this is something I feel is what an engineer should know as for our mathematics is a very important tool. But most of the times people feel its sort off forced upon them as necessary thing to sort off rattofy and omit. Our schools only concentrated upon the calculation part. But what Arthur Benjamin feels is Maths is made up of three parts: 1. Calculation 2. Application 3. Inspiration Yes I highlighted the third part because this is what almost all schools or colleges fail upon...inspiration. Can Maths be inspirational? Boy you are kidding me... But hey this post will highlight certain key points, which, I really hope will help you motivate to find that inspiration behind mathematics.   To start with I will talk on Fibonacci series . So what is Fibonacci series? To give a short explanation, its a series of infinite numbers wherein each element is made up by sum of previous two elements. So the number series looks like the following: 0 1 1 2 3 5 ...
